Wingin’ It 141.1: The Life of Luther (Part 36) – John the Steadfast

In the THIRTY-SIXTH episode of our Wingin’ It series on the Life of Luther, Wade and Mike highlight the life and work of John the Steadfast. Although not as famous as his brother, Frederick the Wise, or as large a personality as his son, John Frederick the Magnanimous, John is an important figure of the Reformation. As Elector of Saxony, John was instrumental in the formation of the Schmalkaldic League, “protested at the Second Diet of Speyer, and was a signer of the Augsburg Confession. We hope that you will enjoy this brief biography of John the Steadfast, Elector of Saxony.
